John 3:16

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

When you evaluate this scripture, weather or not you're a parent, I'm sure it's almost unimaginable to give your child's life for anything.  I don't think I've ever met a parent that wouldn't give their life for the life of their kid.  When you think about how much God must love us, that he chose to give his ONLY son to die for the remission of our sins it is hard to even imagine the love that God feels for us. 

I'm sure a lot of you would die to save another person you love, but can you imagine giving your child's life to take their place?

Bill Oudemolen, the Senior Pastor at Foothills Bible Church in Littleton, Colorado put out a challenge this morning that members of the church ask at least one person about their faith this week.  This is not meant as a way to preach at someone or be judgemental, but rather to simply start a conversation about God with a genuine interest in their thoughts, feelings and beliefs.

He also suggested that we put John 3:16 somewhere that people can see it. 

Many companies are putting Biblical verses on packaging and we'd like to add a few more!

• In-N-Out Burger - In-N-Out prints discreet references to Bible verses on their paper utensils. The print is small and out of the way, and only contains the book, chapter and verse numbers, not the actual text of the passages.
